Overview

Contributed to the BPme app as part of BP's engineering team. BPme enables contactless fuel payment, loyalty rewards management, and BP station discovery across the UK and multiple global markets, with 1M+ downloads on Android alone.

The Challenge

BP needed a mobile app that handled real-time contactless payments at the pump, integrated a loyalty rewards program, and worked reliably across multiple countries with different payment providers and regulatory requirements. The app had to be fast, secure, and trustworthy — users are authorising financial transactions through it.

What We Built

As part of BP's engineering team, we contributed to the development and maintenance of the BPme Android and iOS applications. Work included payment flow engineering, rewards integration, station-finder functionality, and localization for multi-market rollout across the UK and international markets.

Results

BPme has achieved 1M+ downloads on Android in the UK market alone, with a 4.7★ rating and 48K reviews. The app handles millions of contactless fuel transactions and operates across multiple countries. Our engineering contributions were part of the team effort that brought BPme to one of the highest-rated fuel apps globally.

No — BPme is BP's own product. We contributed as part of BP's engineering team on specific features including payment flows, rewards integration, and station-finder functionality. Enterprise embedded engagements like this are a core part of our practice.
