Dinebook — Restaurant Discovery & Reservation
Overview
Built a native Android restaurant discovery and reservation app for the Armenian market. Dinebook lets users search and explore restaurants, view photos, menus, and deals, read reviews, and book a table — all in one place.
The Challenge
The Armenian restaurant market had no quality mobile-first discovery and booking experience. Diners relied on phone calls and word of mouth. Restaurant owners had no digital channel to showcase menus, publish deals, or manage reservations. The client needed an app that worked for both sides of this market.
What We Built
We built a native Android app with geolocation-based restaurant discovery, category and cuisine filtering, rich restaurant profiles with photo galleries and menus, a deals and promotions section, user reviews, and real-time table reservation booking. Restaurant owners had a lightweight backend to manage their listing and availability.
Results
Dinebook launched in the Armenian market as a category-first restaurant booking product. The app successfully bridged the discovery and reservation experience that diners had previously managed through phone calls and word of mouth.

Questions & Answers
How did you handle the restaurant owner side of the product?
Restaurant owners had a separate web-based dashboard to manage their listing, update availability, publish deals, and accept or decline reservations. This kept the mobile app lean for diners while giving restaurants real control over their presence.
What were the localisation considerations for Armenia?
The app supported Armenian and Russian in addition to English, covering the primary languages of the target market. Geolocation was calibrated for Yerevan's map data, and the payment expectations (primarily cash and local card networks) shaped how the booking confirmation flow was designed.
Can you build a restaurant discovery or hospitality booking app?
Yes. We've built marketplace apps with two-sided discovery, real-time booking, rich media profiles, and CMS-backed content management. Contact us to discuss your hospitality product.
